Airstrips: The park has a single airstrip for light aircrafts at Empusel gate. Other airstrips exist at Kilimanjaro Buffalo Lodge and Namanga town.

Long favourite of Hollywood film makers, Amboseli National Park 392km2 form the perfect auditorium for scenic views of Africa’s highest mountain, 5,895 – metres- high Kilimanjaro, the highest free Standing Mountain in world. The park was Gazetted as a National Park in 1974. Amboseli National Park is located in Loitoktok District, Rift Valley Province of Kenya. Two springs provide year-round water - befit tiny the Masai meaning of Amboseli -"place of water." Thousands of water fowl and flamingos are attracted to the lakes there are also elephants, and numerous other animals. The ecosystem mainly savannah grassland spread across the Kenya-Tanzania border. The park is famous for being the best place in Africa to get close to free-ranging elephants among other wildlife species.
Accommodation; is available at Amboseli Serena Lodge; Oltukai Lodge; Amboseli Sopa Lodge, Tortilis Tented Lodge, Amboseli Sentrim, Kibo Slopes Camp and Kimana Lodge. For campers however the choices are more as the park has numerous Camp sites.
