4-Day Lake Nakuru - the Pink Lake

Introduction.
Adding to two memorable days at the game filled plains of the Masai Mara National Reserve, this safari also takes you to Lake Nakuru National Park, one of the world’s greatest bird spectacles. Other than the bird population of different species and especially flamingos that carpet the lake, the park has its fair share of wildlife that include the endangered black rhino.

Arrival: You'll be collected from the airport.
Accommodation before the tour starts can be arranged for an extra cost.

Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve
Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive to the floor of the Rift Valley to Masai Mara National Reserve which has the greatest collection of animals in the world. You have two days to explore this fabulous reserve starting with an en-route game drive to the lodge.
You will check in at the camp for lunch. At 4:00 pm, enjoy an afternoon game drive. Dinner and your overnight stay are at the the Camp.

Day 2: Masai Mara National Reserve - Full-Day Game Reserve
You'll spend the day in Masai Mara, Kenya’s most popular game sanctuary where you will have the best opportunity of spotting the Big Five—lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino, and elephant.
Game drives are flexible, with the option of going out with picnic lunch boxes to spend an entire day in the park, or you can choose to have early morning and late afternoon game drives.
You will also have the option of visiting a local Maasai village (US$ 20 per person).
All meals and your overnight stay are at the Camp.


Day 3: Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru National Park
Depart Masai Mara after breakfast for Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving at the Lodge/camp in time for lunch. In the afternoon, you'll enjoy a game drive. Besides the flamingos that the lake is famous for, there are approximately 400 other species of birds visiting the lake. Also, many species of game can be found in the park including the introduced Rothschild’s giraffe, black and white rhino, waterbuck, reedbuck, lion, buffalo, leopard, baboon, and many species of plains game.
Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru National Park to Nairobi
After breakfast, check-out and depart for an en-route game drive in Nakuru, then depart for Nairobi arriving in the afternoon. Drop at your hotel or transfer to the airport for your onward flight home. There's an optional lunch at Carnivore Restaurant.
