Kenya Family Safari.
Duration: 11 days / 10 nights.
Highlights: Aberdares, Lake Nakuru, Maasai Mara, Naivasha, Mt Longonot, Amboseli & Nairobi.
Activities: Bird watching, Culture, wildlife and sightseeing.

Day 1 – Nairobi / Aberdares National Park.
Upon arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport you will be met by our Airport representative and assisted to board your safari vehicle after a brief safari briefing. Afterwards depart Nairobi driving north past the lush pineapple, coffee and tea plantation in Kenya's reach highland arriving Aberdares Country Club, base hotel for the tree lodge in time for lunch. After lunch transfer in lodge vehicles to The Ark located right in the Aberdares National Park with small overnight bags while the rest of baggage is left at the base hotel. The decks and balconies at the Ark are geared towards affording easy game viewing and photography.

Day 2 - Ark/Lake Nakuru.
After breakfast at the Ark you rejoin your driver guide and drive through the floor of Great Rift Valley to arrive in time for lunch at your lodge. Lunch and leisurely afternoon before enjoying scheduled evening game drive.
Lake Nakuru National Park is famous for its abundant birdlife. The Park offers a great chance to see thousands of greater & lesser flamingoes, pelicans around the shores of the lake alongside abundant mammals that include endangered Rothschild giraffe, black & white rhino, buffaloes, waterbuck, elands, zebras among other species.

Distance: Ark – Lake Nakuru: 140 km / 2.5 hours.

Day 3 –Lake Nakuru /Maasai Mara.
Depart Lake Nakuru after breakfast driving through the floor of the Great Rift Valley arriving Maasai Mara in time for lunch. Lunch and leisurely afternoon before enjoying scheduled evening game drive. Maasai Mara Reserve is the most popular reserve known for the big skies, open savannahs as featured in the film ''Out of Africa''. Also accorded the status of the seventh wonder of the world because of the annual wildebeest migration, where over 2 million of wildebeest cross from Serengeti to the Mara. Besides these the reserve boasts of the ''big five'' (elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion & leopard) plus plenty of plain wild animals that include zebra, giraffe, impala, topi, giraffe, Thomson’s gazelle, hyenas, cheetah, jackal, bat-eared foxes and birdlife.  No wonder it is the shooting sight for BBC Big Cat Diary every year.

Day 4 & 5 – Maasai Mara Full Day.
Today you will do a full day's safari in one of the world's most famous reserves. Maasai Mara  offers an abundance of herbivores, this makes the ideal hunting ground for Kenya's famous ‘big cats' and hosts her largest population of lions. Historically teeming with wildlife, the Mara is famous for the large herds of elephant and buffalo that wander its plains, and for the annual migration of the wildebeest.

Day 6  – Maasai Mara / Naivasha.
Today wake up early for morning game drive and amazing Africa sunrise before returning to the camp for full breakfast and check out. Afterwards we descent down to the great rift valley arriving at your lodge in time for lunch. Afternoon free for optional activities or enjoy bird watching as you take a walk along the lake.
A highlight of a stay at Lake Naivasha Country Club is a trip to Crescent Island – a 15 minute boat ride across the lake. This is a private game sanctuary where guests can have the unique experience of wandering on foot close to the wildlife (including zebra, wildebeest, gazelle and velvet monkeys) due to the absence of predators.

Distance: Maasai Mara / Lake Naivasha: 250 km / 4.5 hours.

Day 7 –Naivasha / Longonot.
After breakfast we drive to Mt. Longonot with picnic lunch boxes. Today hike for 3-4 hours to the top of mount Longonot where you will have spectacular view of the Great Rift Valley. Picnic lunch boxes on top of the crater. Then descend back and drive to Lake Naivasha for overnight.
Before making this climb you will need to acclimatize at 6000 feet. A ranger accompanies you on the hike as your guide. As there are wild animals in the area, he is armed. The whole trek is only about 8–9 km long but very steep, so much so that the round trip from park gate to the Longonot Peak and back again takes around 5 hours of hiking.

Day 8 –Naivasha / Amboseli.
After breakfast we depart for Amboseli and drive through the floor of Great Rift Valley stopping enroute for photo session. Drive further via Nairobi and then to kapiti plains to arrive in Amboseli in time for lunch at your lodge. In the evening enjoy your game drive in the park.

Distance: Maasai Mara/ Amboseli: 550 km / 5.5 hours.

Day 9 – Full Day Amboseli.
Today enjoy full day in Amboseli affording majestic views of Mt. Kilimanjaro weather permitting. Amboseli sits right at the foot of Africa’s highest standing mountain of Mount Kilimanjaro. The Park is also a home to the big mammals that include elephant, buffalo, impala, lion, cheetah, hyena, giraffes, zebra, and wildebeests among other African animals.
Overnight: Amboseli Sopa Lodge or Similar.
Meals FB: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.

Day 10 – Amboseli / Nairobi.
After breakfast you drive back to Nairobi arriving in the early afternoon. Lunch at the Carnivore restaurant “the beast of feast”. Later a brief city tour and drop off at the Sarova Panafric Hotel for where you have been booked on bed & Breakfast basis. (Dinner on your own arrangement)

Meals HB: Breakfast & Lunch.
Distance: Amboseli / Nairobi: 250 km / 3 hours.

Day 11 – Departure.
After breakfast you will be transferred to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in time for your flight.
Meals: Breakfast.
