Stone Town Tour – 3 hrs
Zanzibar is an old town endowed with a very rich cultural heritage. The tour will include walk/ drive to the city market opened in 1904. Then proceed to the Anglican Church of Christ built by Bishop Steers in 1874 on the site of old slave market, the Slave Chambers then the auction table in the Old slave market. You will then drive or walk to The National Museum of Zanzibar currently known as the House of wonders opened in 1925.
Drive along the beach road up to Forodhani Gardens where you will see the Old British Consulate, the Arab Fort built (1700), High Court Building, Old German Consulate, Africa House, Tip Tip House, Kelele Square, Old Fort, Forodhani Gardens, Sultan Palace now Palace Museum, former French Hotel in Zanzibar ,Custom House, Old Dispensary and Old Harbour.
A leisure walk through the narrow streets of Stone town where most of the houses date back to more than two hundred and fifty years is fulfilling and a chance to meet the Zanzibar people. The final place will be the Maruhubi Palace Ruins built by the third Sultan of Zanzibar in (1880) and Dr. Living stone House built in (1866)
Spice Tour – 4 hrs.
The history of Zanzibar would be incomplete without the cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, pepper, safran and many other spices, which were brought by the Sultans of Oman. They can be visited in the private plantations just outside Zanzibar town like at kizimbani village. The tour includes opportunities to dazzle the senses with fresh spices and tropical fruits.
A description of the herbs and their traditional uses in medicine, cosmetics and cookery. After the tour we invite you for a sumptuous lunch at a local hotel, pilau and other foods are served and fresh tropical fruit juice. The Spice Tour is also the cheapest place to purchase spices and spice oils.
Dolphin Tours - 4 hrs.
Kizimkazi fishing village situated on the southern point of the island, is home to several schools of bottle-nosed dolphins and Humpback dolphins, which can often be sighted following a short boat trip from the village. If you are lucky, you may be able to swim quite close to the dolphins, which can be a very rewarding experience. Kizimkazi is also the site of a 12th century mosque, the earliest evidence of Islam in East Africa, and is thus worth a visit for both natural and cultural reasons.
Prison Island & Boat trip - 4 hrs.
A relaxing day in Zanzibar Channel of the Indian Ocean is achieved when we visit the small isle off the Western Coast of Zanzibar. This historical Island was formerly owned by an Arab and used for the confinement of refractory slaves. It was bought by General Mathews and the jail which still stands was built in 1893 and hence the name "PRISON ISLAND". It is home to giant tortoises that were imported from the Seychelles in the late 19th century. It is fringed with a beautiful coral reef, ideal for snorkelling, and has a lovely white beach for sunbathing. The island is ideal for a day trip with refreshments available throughout the day. It also has a small restaurant where you can enjoy freshly caught fish.
Jozani Monkey Forest - 3 hrs.
Jozani natural forest the only natural forest in Zanzibar, which is home for the rare red colobus monkeys species. The smaller trees and shrubs make several sub canopies under the highest canopy. You will walk through the excellent nature trail of the forest, which is a habitat for many species of flora and fauna.
Local Game Fishing – Half Day.
We offer you the unique opportunity to sail out to Sea with a Zanzibar fisherman and show you what 'fishing for a living' is really all about. Setting sail from one of East Africa's oldest wafts, the horizon is dotted with ngalawas, local fisher boats with outriggers, heading out to Sea with full mast. We will equip you with simple fishing gear, with what locals are even catching kingfish, yellow fin tuna, barracuda and grouper. A real Zanzibar adventure!
